The Indian Air Force invited online applications for Agniveervayu Intake 02/2026 under the Agnipath Scheme. The recruitment was open to eligible unmarried Indian male and female candidates for selection as Agniveervayu in the Indian Air Force.
The online registration process started on 11 July 2025 and closed on 31 July 2025, while the online examination commenced from 25 September 2025 onwards. Candidates were required to meet the prescribed educational, age, physical and medical standards. The recruitment included candidates from both Science Subjects and Other Than Science Subjects categories.
This is an Agnipath Scheme engagement for four years, with a monthly package increasing from ₹30,000 in the first year to ₹40,000 in the fourth year, along with applicable allowances and benefits. Candidates completing the four-year engagement receive the applicable Seva Nidhi package according to the scheme rules.
1. Nationality: Candidate should be an Indian citizen.
2. Age: Candidate must have been born between 02 July 2005 and 02 January 2009, both dates inclusive.
3. Educational Qualification – Science Subjects: Candidates must have passed 10+2/Intermediate with Mathematics, Physics and English, with at least 50% aggregate marks and 50% marks in English. Alternatively, the prescribed 3-year Engineering Diploma or 2-year Vocational Course route is available with the required marks.
4. Educational Qualification – Other Than Science Subjects: Candidates must have passed 10+2/Intermediate in any stream with minimum 50% aggregate marks and 50% marks in English, or the prescribed 2-year Vocational Course with the required marks.
5. Marital Status: Only unmarried male and female candidates were eligible for enrolment.
6. Physical & Medical Standards: Candidates must fulfil the physical and medical standards prescribed by the Indian Air Force/CASB.

| Weight | Weight should be proportionate to height and age as applicable for IAF. | |||||||
| Chest | For Male Candidates: The chest wall should be well proportioned and well developed. | Hearing | Candidate should have normal hearing i.e. able to hear forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters by each ear separately. | |||||||

| General Health | Candidate should be fit for the Air Force, must conform to the medical standards. Candidate should be of normal anatomy without loss or deformity of any appendages. He/She should be free from any active or latent, acute or chronic, medical or surgical disability or communicable disease, infection and skin aliments. Candidate shall be physically and mentally FIT to perform duty in any part of the world, in any climate and terrain. | |||||||
| Gynaecological Examination (For female candidates) | - | The examination covers external genitalia, hernia orifices and perineum, any evidence of stress urinary incontinence or genital prolapse outside introitus. | ||||||
| Gender: | Any candidate if found to have predominant characteristics of the opposite gender as evident on external physical examination, will be rejected as Unfit. Any candidate having undergone gender reassignment surgery will be declared Unfit. | |||||||

| Body Tattoo: | Permanent body tattoos are not permitted. However, tattoos only on inner face of the fore arms (inside of elbow to the wrist), back (dorsal) part of the hand/ reverse side of the palm and Tribals with tattoo which are as per the custom and traditions of their tribes may be considered. Offensive, obscene, indecent, sexist or racist tattoos are prohibited regardless of location on the body. However, right to consider a tattoo acceptable or unacceptable will rest with the selection centre. Candidate with permanent body tattoos are to submit two Postcard size photographs (close up and distinct view) with details of size and type of the Tattoo during the second phase of testing. | |||||||

2. Open the Agniveervayu recruitment/application section.
3. Select Agniveervayu Intake 02/2026.
4. Read the complete official notification and eligibility conditions carefully.
5. Complete the registration using your valid mobile number and email ID.
6. Log in to the application portal using the credentials generated during registration.
7. Fill in your personal, educational and other required details correctly.
8. Select the applicable examination category/stream according to your educational qualification.
9. Upload the required photograph, signature and educational/supporting documents in the prescribed format.
10. Pay the applicable examination fee of ₹550 + GST through the prescribed online payment method.
11. Carefully check all details entered in the application form before final submission.
12. Submit the application within the prescribed application period.
13. Download and save/print the final application form and payment confirmation for future reference.
14. Keep the registration number and login credentials safely stored for downloading the admit card and checking recruitment updates.
15. Candidates shortlisted after the online examination must follow the instructions for the PFT, Adaptability Tests and Medical Examination.
